ABOUT US
E & G DESIGNS, a London based company specializing in baptismal and naming gowns, is owned by EILEEN WEDDERBURN and GRACE CARTER-ALLEN. Between them they possess years of experience and knowledge about the clothing industry.
The aim of the company, E & G DESIGNS, is to make available individually styled gowns to suit the ever growing demand for individuality.
EILEEN WEDDERBURN
EILEEN began her career in the fashion industry 18 years ago. After she left school she enrolled for a two year fashion course that gave her a good foundation for many aspects of the industry. She has worked for various reputable companies doing a variety of jobs, from sample machinist to pattern-cutter and designer.
She teaches Fashion and Basic Skills at various adult Institutes.'Having done everything from bridalwear to daywear, I have decided to specialize in children's wear, especially special occasion wear as I see a great gap in the market for creative and interesting gowns that reflect the personality and life style of the parent and their child.'
GRACE CARTER-ALLEN
Having developed an interest in fashion at an early age, due to the dislike of the clothes that her mother made for her, GRACE qualified in fashion and interiors and went on to teach both subjects. She has worked in the clothing industry as a pattern cutter for a well known high street store and worked with private customers, designing and making garments for their particular needs.
